Does anyone like Sail ship here? Anyone got yourself these?
http://www.modelshipmaster.com/
If only they were not so bloody expensive(about 1,000 bucks ). People bid these beautiful ships at about 150 bucks in ebay .

Cheaper to just buy a kit and build your own - I'm currently building this little beauty http://www.modelexpo-online.com/prod...?ITEMNO=MS2160 $500AU got me the kit , couple of books on planking and ship modeling and all the tools and paints to make her
Interestingly enough ,that sites Prince De Neufchatel (in the Pirate ship listing) looks remarkably similar to this one http://www.modelexpo-online.com/prod...?ITEMNO=MS2110 |

Really is there a ship of the line kit then? .
I'm only interested in ship of the line. A three decker or more sail ship.

This site is where I got my sloop from http://www.modelexpo-online.com/ All the manufacturers there have got Ships of the Line - anything from a 6th rate up to and including the Victory , there's also http://www.jotika-ltd.com/Pages/1024768/index.htm They've got the Agamemnon and Victory but the prices are in Pounds and the exchange rate sucks
@Heer_Pete that's an impressive list , Ive got the same question as @Castout , are they scratch or kit? |

Those are some beautiful models. The prices sure reflect that. I really like the sailing ships as well as a couple Great Lakes ships. However, none of those models seem right. Their proportions just don't match up. It's like they are all "scrunched up."

Sadly no but just last night i bought the book "The Line Of Battle" to aid me in my first scratch build.
I will take the photos today and have them up later on in the day. But i agree some of the models ships of the line are ratjher scrunched! Its simply the spacing of the masts! perfect hull but the masts let them down! and the way they present the sails doesnt help! Other than that they are fantastic models! About the kit and model ship,in Adelaide there are a hobby centre which has a yamato model costs about 700 bucks and kits to make wooden ships which I didn't bother to see because it requires a lot of skills. One need a whole garage or workshop to make these beauties.
Ships of the line always are my favourite. Day dream and night dream of becoming captain of one of those .
