Default Similar story like Red Storm Rising / Red Phoenix

Hi,

my all time favorites are Red Storm Rising (reading currently the third time ) and Red Phoenix.

Can somebody recommend me a 'similar' book (must have: naval warfare).

Thanks ~

Well, since you're in the region of Red Phoenix, check out Cauldron by the same author

I might have to check out Red Phoenix. I loved Red Storm Rising! I was sad when I finished the book. A book you may like is Arc Light by Eric L. Harry. I don't remember much naval activity, if any, but it is still a very good read. I'm a naval fan myself, fact or fiction, and tremendously enjoyed Arc Light as much as RSR. Even though you prefer naval novels (much like myself) I still recommend you read Arc Light.

Try "Typhoon" by Robin White. If you liked Hunt for Red October, you'll like Typhoon.

Red Phoenix is awesome too! The 'Korean' version of Red Storm Rising. I've read Arce Light too, but IMO the story is partly not believable; else a good book.

Thanks for the Typhoon hint!

If you can bear not having naval warfare - in any case, that book went too fast for naval warfare to be much of a factor, try Red Army - it is a whole different feel. The missing technical details (if you care about them) are amply compensated by the comparative level of tactical detail.
