Default U-boat missions Manual Targeting "how to..?"

Guys, can anyone post a video or step-by-step manual for how to do manual targetting in U-boats? I do manuall targetting in the US missions, but here - I understand what needs to be done - but I can't actually get to it..

thanks!

No video needed to learn this. First of all you should recognize a ship from manual (press "N" and select). Than you should click on "Angle-on-Bow" in notepad, and enter angle. Than you should click on distance meter, and simply (as you did in SH3) measure a distance. Than after few seconds click on distance meter again and make second measurement. This will turn on the speed calculator in "speed" section. The main thing is that you need two distance-measurements to calculate speed. Actually, I use manual parameter input - speed of convoys in stock is always 5, 7 or 9 kts, and it's not too hard to guess which one it is now))

just remember, the german tdc has no position keeper. dont wait too long to fire your fishes after the last measurement. careful with the AoB, and above all, the SPEED.

I haven't tried it yet, but I do believe it will operate exactly like the SH3 one.

If you look in the top of the SH3 forum, there should be some stickied video tutorials there.

Not exactly like SH3. Now you need two distance-measurements to get speed.

Yea, at least the speed is auto-calculated now. Can't afford to look back in the dark old days when speed won't even be computed..

Btw, I noticed the single torpedo gyro angle can't be adjusted. Is this historically accurate or another bug ? thanx. :hmm:

Default thanks all for tips

First thanks!!

I've read the SH3 staff and then checked it works for u-boat missions, well - not 100% the same, but the tools/technics/interfaces are almost the same. However, I found the QUICK 90 angle attack tactick very nice and going to work on this one.

However, SH3 recourses are very helpfull..

There is no SCAF for the Uboat missions. So, stadimeter is not accurate, especially, when using real sensors... 90degree fast attack, looks as a good alternative

thanks for your answers again!!!
