If you're referring to the NYGM neg. buoyancy feature, it is not an .exe hack.
Existed long before H.sie's or Stiebler's .exe work. Not sure but as said, most likely in the sub files.

Still curious to know in what file exactly...
What is sure, it’s not lying in any German U-Boat Compilation sub file, because when activating this mod to GWX, sub is steady, and when activating to NYGM sub is still sinking (both with Stiebler patch on)...and GUC is involving a lot of sub files!

Iirc GWX at one time had a slightly positive buoyancy affect but it was then removed, so your experience with a GWX sub would be the case regardless of the comp. sub files, i.e. the same result would occur in an only GWX install.
Get S3d editor and snoop around in NYGM and you'll probably find your answer.

I have to agree with Fifi on this. It is a signature feature fixture for NYGM.

I think it is okay if you find it but putting it out there may not be the right thing to do.

Good hunting,

Ah, of course. Apologies for asking, didn't even think about it.
