Once again the spell checkers strike

With regard to the basement dweller saying the GOP is entering an amendment to raise the voting age 25. Why not first find the bill before you say something like that. Here, let me help and give you a hint where to find it too.

Oh wait, YOU CANT BECAUSE IT DOESN'T EXIST! it’s fantasy. That basement dweller made it up OUT OF THIN AIR. On top of that amending the constitution is no easy feat either. https://www.archives.gov/federal-register/constitution

It was said by one person on the campaign trail pandering to voters. It’s like the letter ‘H’ it’s a pointless and meaningless argument that goes absolutely nowhere.

However! In all seriousness I might possibly get behind raising the voting and draft age back to 21 where it once was.

I'm not a lawyer either but I can read.

Let's review. The two main rivals for the 2024 presidential election are Joe Biden and Donald Trump although there is a long way to go. Biden is the current President of the USA. What does he do? He gets his Attorney General, Merrick Garland to appoint a special counsel, Jack Smith, to try and put Biden's main political rival in jail. Does that sound like something that should take place in a democracy?

Good question. Actually they are indictments and need to be proven in a court of law.

Just an FYI, it’s my understanding there are two ways prosecutors attempt to officially accuse someone of wrong doing.

One is by a preliminary hearing where they have to convince a judge.

Two, if the feel they don’t have sufficient evidence to convince a judge. Prosecutors will use a grand jury because it’s easier to convince a bunch of plebes who have been bombarded for eight years by headlines which have seared into their brains that Trump is already guilty.

Just look at the comments here to see what I’m talking about.

What if the judge and jury were watching C-SPAN on Jan. 6th?

What?

As I posted earlier you get dumbass plebes like the one below making decisions based on eight years of living the drama.

A grand jury isn’t a hearing it isn’t a trial it has nothing to do with pronouncing guilt or innocence, and defense lawyers are NOT involved. It’s just the prosecutor wowing a select group of plebes about the wonderful things he can do to officially charge a suspect. On the other hand at a Preliminary Hearing defense lawyers are directly involved and do have say. I believe defense lawyers, judges know the law and rules of evidence and are held to and demand high standards. Which is why I said that sometimes prosecutors prefer a grand jury over preliminary hearings, they just have to convince a bunch of plebes
