ambiant occlusion map on : in S3D : To complete the AA guns file I am now working on a new cloned Triple AA gun, it has the single's base since the double and triple base from stock doesn't turn properly. keltos Last edited by keltos01; 03-12-09 at 08:49 AM. |

IMHO that is the log of travelled seamiles. More or less like in your conventional automobile...should be helpful for the navigation through dead reckoning (Prevents the navigator from having to keep a constant log of how much speed during how many hours, etc).

Wow those new images are excellent, the sleeping quarters is certainly from Gochin, i recognize some faces and the interior from studying the earlier film. Great to see these K.

why ramming is not for submarines : good research link at Kure , although they are low-res and have that semi-transparent logo, there are lots of pictures there : http://translate.google.com/translat...istory_state0= or http://translate.google.com/translat...istory_state0= submarines ! keltos Last edited by keltos01; 03-18-09 at 04:14 PM. |

first sub equipped with the new type 88 periscope
Type 88 periscope on the Kaichu :
in the marvelous tool S3D view : inside : raised observation scope what I don't get is the texture problem : looks fine in s3d awful in game, maybe there is an occlusion map for the object somewhere that I need to replace (I didn't do one for the well and the periscope yet) ? and what's that big black and white round thingie in the lower right corner ??? Didn't I just see that in an IJN training movie from 1941 ?? keltos Last edited by keltos01; 03-21-09 at 09:10 AM. |

Periscope Type 88 for the Kaichu submarine
Observation Periscope Type 88 for the Kaichu submarine :
in well : raised : from back : labelled : [edit ] added the label on the scope, if you could look close enough you'd see it's the real deal, well you can always open the texture file and read it the texture on the head might be a bit bland, but that can always be changed. now to the other boats keltos Last edited by keltos01; 03-21-09 at 03:55 PM. |

Some pretty amazing work there, Keltos. Great to see the ongoing progress. Can't wait to give the campaign a whirl.
