Default If Anyone Ever Wanted a 26 min Video on FaT Torpedoes...

Not sure if anyone would be in to this, but here's another part of my tutorial series on how some of the more technical aspects of the game work. It's a little long and by no means a perfect representation of using ladder search pattern but I just thought I'd share for anyone interested, enjoy!

Good video. Nice to see some late war blind firing.

On the subject of FaTs, was reading an old thread recently where there was some discussion regarding what constituted a 'FaT boat' or 'LuT boat', in that there had to be specific modifications to the attack computer and torpedo tubes. Wondering if anyone could shed more light on this.

Would these modifications be retrofitted to older boats or would it be more likely to apply to newer ones coming off the production line?

Right, I know it's not historically accurate, I basically just went by when the XXI was available in stock GWX and figured it would be the better platform to showcase some of the more advanced late-war tech! Plus I so rarely get to operate that beauty in normal circumstances I just couldn't pass it up.

Oh I don't care about the historical part; I just didn't realize how you got it then in the game.
Never even noticed myself, good to know !

Looking at the NYGM, etc. files I see the 21 is available in 1944 there too. Wonder why that is vs it's historical dates ?

Great video. I've played the game for years and never figured out how to update the FaT settings. Now, I'm going to dust off the game and give it a try. Thanks!
