Default SCX - fantastic

Well, after reading Scorpion Down, I got bit by the sub bug again. In between re-reading Hunt for Red October and Red Storm Rising, I reinstalled Sub Command and installed the SCX mod. Talk about a difference maker. The upgrade to the 3D is awesome and the inclusion of all the new platforms is awesome. Played through a scenario I pulled from Subguru last night and actually had a measure of success that I hadn't had in the past. I was able to track and sink an Akula and the Kuznetsov.

ScxII is great overall everyonce in a while I get tired of my

the old fashioned nuke boats.
( sorry I couldnt resist a bit of satire in the phrasing )

Welcome to Subsim. I couldn't agree more. SC with SCXII is better in my view than DW, but that's just a personal opinion.

Everything is better than stock DW. However SC+SCXII is a crap in comparision with DW+LWAMI!

With the new LWAMI, the entire SCXII database is being copied over into DW. That's going to be VERY cool !

I actually have installed in my laptop all the Sonalysts sims and I play them all. You would say having 688i Hunterkiller, Sub Command with SCXII, Dangerous Waters and Fleet Command (along with Harpoon 3 ANW), is a bit redundant, but I find that I enjoy playing all of them equally as much. I will admit that DW gets most of the playing time though. I'm not concerned at all about new drivables like you can do with Sub Command. I've had a tough enough time learning the platforms that are already in there. It's been a few years and I still havn't graduated from the subs yet.
