You might want to be careful with this one.

Either the source didn't know better and told the story as he understood it, or they didn't know anything and just threw together some jargon.

The quote you included could be translated as "We caught a trout using our tow truck". There's another guy on here who can back me up, so trust me on this one.

This topic is a little hot so this will be my last post on the matter.

I know what you mean ... there are some mistakes in the article, but all sea stories have the same theme ... this ain't no lie

I thought 1981 being 39 years ago was okay

Interesting indeed I knew there was a mission to photograph the pod on the Victor iii and there was a collision with K324 a Victor III which was in the bay at the time.

It's funny that Navy Intel thought it might be a new secret hyper drive when it was really just hindsight passive sonar.

Aw geez, its that guy..

Did he include the part where he woke up next to Morgan Fairchild after she, somehow, snuck onto the boat and found his rack?

I read some of his stuff on Amazon. For a guy who writes about long, boring missions, he never seems to have had one.

I could tell him about long, boring missions that would give him writer's block.

But, its the holidays and I'm in a good mood so I won't say that he's full of ####.
