The nice people who wrote the article give me at least some excuses - I claim them all:

Both countries became EU members in 2004.

Both countries became independent in the early 90s from larger Communist nations.

Both countries have Karst regions.

Both countries have officially-recognized Hungarian minorities.

Both countries border Austria.

Both countries have white-blue-red flags.

Both countries have shield-shaped coats of arms in the top-left of their flag.

Both of the above-mentioned coats of arms feature mountains with 3 peaks.

Both countries were once a part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

A female resident of both countries is a 'Slovenka' in her native tongue.

The adjective form in both countries, in their respecitve languages is 'Slovensk..'

This previous fact means that you'll find Slovenska. Televizia in Slovakia, and Slovenske Zeleznice in Slovenia. Although both would be possible the other way around!

We got used to it. A word mixup, wrong anthem and so on. We usualy get by with a 7,4 million strong epic facepalm (2 million Slovenia plus 5,4 million Slovakia).

But there's less and less of that. It means we're getting more recognition

George Bush is being giving his daily briefing. He is told that yesterday three Brazilian soldiers were killed.

Went to see "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" last night, and it didn't suck.

Wasn't as good as the original which scared me witless as a kid, but it was a decent popcorn muncher and sure beat the heck out of the "Vampire Flavor of the Month" flicks which make up most of the horror genre today.

It did get less scary once the monsters were fully revealed, but at least they weren't cupie dolls like the original.
