Default Good morning/afternoon/evening which ever may apply

Hello From Tejas,

New to the community, downloaded SH series with a bunch of games while I was bored sick being sick. Kind of rekindled an interest in WWII simulation games.

Started back in the 80's with a MSDOS sim called GATO and then a game called Das Boot, loosely based on the movie. Was fortunate to have grandparents from the Greatest Generation and I developed a passion for WWII history. Begged my folks to take me to every museum ship I could tour as a kid. Wanted to be on a nuke worse than anything. Grew up and got rejected from the Navy at MEPS due to an inner ear injury as a child. Well, we went to war and I found a Doc-in-the-Box who helped me get a waiver and ended up in the Army. I guess they weren't as picky...or just needed warm meat for the machine

So I got sick few weeks back and expected to be down for two weeks ended up downloading SHIII, IV and off a a Steam special and well...I like to mod so that brought me here. So hopefully the community can point me in the right direction to get started modding.

I am wanting to tweak the game a bit here and there. Really up the immersion a bit. What do y'all recommend I start with? I would love to see if I can do something about the sound track. Maybe play some 30's 40's music, news, or radio dramas over the shortwave or gramophone. Help the gun crew hit like a gunners ought to...(Unless that's just the standard for Navy shooting...Shot, over...Couldn't resist.

Anyway Thanks!
