My best friend tested positive for Covid Friday. He's vaccinated, currently has a fever and cough, he still has taste and smell. Here's hoping the vaccine does its job.

I lost my sense of taste and smell about halfway into my illness. Still haven't got them back. BTW what brand of vaccine did your friend take and how long ago?

Does your bud know when or how he picked up the virus? Hope he gets well quickly!

Wai, wai, wait...

You mean you *didn't* die from COVID?!?!? I thought this was so deadly that*everyone* who got it, no matter how healthy, was destined for the grave...

Don't get me wrong, getting it sucks; but the fear-mongering, cherry-picking, and outright lying about the real risks are at the point that no authority figure is to be believed.

Nope, although I do have several of the "co-morbidity" issues and am over 60, it was still no worse for me than a medium case of the flu, in a week I was feeling good enough to apply and win a promotion at work. Far cry from being at deaths door.

But that was in early April and then I got my jab in mid June. Almost August now and still no sense of smell or taste. I mean I can taste some things, basic stuff like whether something is sweet or sour but I couldn't tell you the difference between sour lemon or sour grape and even the sour part is like half the intensity it should be. I bet I could eat raw lemons right now and gut them down.

Same thing with my sense of smell. I'll get that intial whiff of a scent but instead of growing stronger it just fades away to nothing almost immediately. That's great when i'm hauling stinky garbage to the dump, but it sucks when I stop to smell the roses.

Behold! The most common Covid-19 vaccine adverse events reported as of July 19, 2021

https://sharylattkisson.com/2021/07/...ported-so-far/

Thank you St. Fauci for funding the research that created this virus.

No, it’s not about Sharyl Attkisson, I don’t know who Sharyl Attkisson is. I don’t care who Sharyl Attkisson is. Nor did I post this to discuss yours or the BBCs personal opinion of Sharyl Attkisson, her politics or favorite colors.

Because people here were discussing possible adverse side effects of the vaccine. I posted an article compiling the adverse side effects found on the federal Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). Now if you agree or disagree with something she listed do tell.

Thank you Sharyl Attkisson for compiling the information and again thank St. Fauci for funding the research that killed 4 million people.

Agreed, obviously you have no idea nor do you care who she is and how (in)famous she is for shoddy reporting and spreading lies and bullsh!t.

The BBC link is not about her but a reality check and has nothing to do with her. If you want to thank her for her lies and for you being able to uncritically reposting it, your choice.

Ministers will allow fully vaccinated travellers from the EU and US to avoid quarantine when they arrive in England.

Currently, people who have been fully vaccinated in the UK do not have to isolate when travelling from the US and EU

But that exemption does not apply to people who have been vaccinated outside the UK

The Covid Operations committee met this morning - full details of the decision will be released mid-afternoon.

The aviation industry is pushing for a relaxation of these rules following a trial of checking the vaccination status of passengers.

Boris Johnson says 16 August is "nailed on” as the end of isolation for fully-vaccinated people who have contact with a positive Covid case.

The daily number of Covid cases recorded in the UK on Tuesday has fallen for a seventh day in a row, to 23,511

Olympic host city Tokyo records its largest number of new Covid infections in a single day since the pandemic began.
