Well gents I am currently taking the CDC's recommendation of a "Nonpharmaceutical" response. I just gave notice to my employer, tonight is my last night on the job. At least until a pharmaceutical approach can be used to prevent the disease.

I've got a 94 year old anchor tied around my neck, and a business partnership where I feel the need to provide myself as slave labor in the hopes of getting back some of my money along with not having my credit ruined. Guess bad credit wouldn't matter much if I'm dead.

^ which they should have done from day zero or day 1 at latest.
But in good old communist fashion they tried to keep it a secret and acted as the sun was shinning and everything was alright. Markus |

Speaking of the obvious this thing, this flu, this virus, this particular strain named covid-19 can't get us all.
It has not consumed China a land of 1 billion persons It is still in it's infancy, but the fear is reaching far and wide to just stocking up on face mask and hand sanitizer right now. Spring is March 20th little over three (3) weeks away. They say this thing this fear of the flu will be less in the Spring due to it does not like sunshine or light. Now here is the rub ... What about next year? Will it make a another visit to our fear central? The shot that will combat this covid-19 flu is still 12 to 18 months away, but the regular flu has already claimed 26 million people and 16,000 deaths in the USA alone. Along with the fear that you have the bad one (covid-19) come next November/December ... will your hospitals and clinic's be ready? The fear is real, the normal flu is real, the covid-19 is real ... Lets all get behind getting ready for the next flu season being real. Sky had some good suggestions ... Lets listen to each other and not make each other fear that which is obviously going to happen, but come on man it can't get to all of us.

Over 70 big container vessels by Maersk and others currently have not left harbour in China. First small and medium business companies are breaking down. The crunch from that will work its way towards the West in the next 4 weeks. We have not even started to feel the fallout, but we will, it inevitably is heading our way. A vaccine is said to be unlikely to arrive before end of this year, european virus experts say, maybe not even before summer next ear, some indicated. Pharmaceutical production will be affected as one fo the first industry branches, since many of the base components for drugs exclusively get produced in China these days. Shortages are inevitably for certain drugs, in fact on some drugs they already are reality over here. Mayn fatories inb China are locked down, asnd that means Wetsern factories will run out of supply with sub-components for their production as well. Also, the demand on Chinese markets takes a dive as well, for exporters like Germany, that is bad news. Stocks have seen steep falls recently.
I think it possible that by the end of this year gold will cost in the range of 1700-1800 euros per ounce. Currently, it fluctuates around 1500-1550 euros over here. I also think it is possible that this pandemic triggers a new gloobal crash. If so, gold could raise even further, with stock markets dropping by one quarter or one third or even one half. Somebody has to kiss Super-Uschi's green deal good night... The virus is vulnerable to temps exceeding 30°C. Time could be bought if delaying the spreading until late spring and early summer. The virus also does not like high air humidity, if the air is saturated with moisture, infection by small drops from people's breath becomes more difficult, physically. To increase air humidity inside rooms and buildings currently is a recommendation by the virus battle teams, since heating cannot push and nobody wants to push room temperatures to 30+ degrees Celsius. Abover 55% should help to slow down the spreading fo infections in buildings, below 40% the virus is fine. I make it a habit now to use thin polyester gloves like joggers use them against the cold from wind. I wear them in supermarkets, to grab the items. I have several of them since I use them on bicycle, and got them cheap, I throw them into the washing machine after every shopping tour. When returning home, I do not touch anything with fingers and hands, not even get undressed, but go straight to the sink and wash hands - and not before then I start to grap door grips and get out of my coat and start touching surfaces and cupboards etc. It feels a bit weired, but is a very minor chnage only. In some cities of the Ruhrgebiet area, hoarding is being reported from supermarkets. I am prepared anyway, as always. I just additionally reinforced my reserves in millet (its such a fantasstic andf versatile grain), UHT milk, and frozen fish and meat. All other food, water, and typical drugstore goods, I always have in good supply anyway. If need comes, I could hold out isolated for 2 months minimum.

German policy makers and the WHO seem to overestimate Germany's readiness to cope with the challenge. Not only have two famous virus experts in past days expressed their disagreement with the optimistic statements by the govenrment on how ready and well prepared Germany is, but the GHS (Global Health Security) index by the John Hopkins University also testifies only a mediocre score for Germany, while one would have expected it to rank amongst the globe's lead performers.

Add Denmark to the group of countries who got this Corona virus.
He's a journalist and work for the Danish tv-station TV2. He and his wife and their son are in quarantine in their home and so is 16 others from this tv station. I guess or are pretty sure that most of people's fear is based on ignorant or ignorance. Like the one I read some hours ago. I hope it's a made-up private message(like you can make fake tweets) A woman had sent a private message to this tv station's facebook page and asked if she could be infected by watching their channel. A person can't be that ignorant or can they ? Markus |

So I bought the equivalent of 23 quarts powdered milk yesterday. Dairy seems to be one of the big things my antiquated mother needs constantly. Today I'm planning to fill all ten of the five gallon hurricane gas cans for myself. I'm considering installing a window in my office door so customers don't have to invade my personal space. LOL I have a piece of pvc pipe that I'm planning on making into a shopping cart handle "cover" by cutting out a lengthwise section so it just sort of hopefully snaps over a shopping cart handle. I've never been a fan of touching those dirty communal germ fests anyway, even after wiping with one of those wipes that are "sometimes" provided.
I guess I need some masks, not sure what I'm going to get.
