Default Collection of submarine sounds

Did you ever wonder what it sounded like when the gyro was set on a torpedo? Well, here you can find out:

WWII-era and 1960s recordings. Underwater fish/mammal sounds, sounds of onboard pipes/alarms, onboard equipment, sounds of submarines recorded from sonobouys, and even sound recordings of WWII attacks being made, recorded in the control room! Feast your ears on these:

Underwater critter sounds, torpedo launch, sonar ping, ice floes, etc.

Various shipboard calls

Sounds recorded from sonobouys

WWII JP sonar training sounds-VERY interesting

Various equipment sounds, recorded on USS Pampanito

Recordings made onboard USS Sealion during attacks on two differents ships (including IJN Kongo battleship). Best listened to with a good set of headphones, a lot of it is difficult to make out

My personal favorite, the famous torpedo launch sequence recording. For some reason I never imagined that a torpedo sounds like this
