Land-locked as I am, glad to be here. Found the site again by looking into whether SH3 and SH4 would run on the modern Windows and what mods there are. Only ever played SH3 and loved it... Pleased to see active communities, and the Fall of the Rising Sun Ultimate Edition looks good, so I went ahead and registered.

As there are SO MANY mods and tutorials, if anyone can offer a link to a great place to get started, that would be much appreciated. Still have SH3 on disk, but is Steam a good option for obtaining SH4? I have read that for mods I'll need the U-Boat missions, which gets it up to v1.5. Is the FotRSUE thread enough to get me below the waves?
