Default [REL] Unrealistic VIIa sub

UNREALISTIC VIIA ON CRACK
(NON REALISM DISCLAIMER)

Well. first time releasing here, the changes are as follows,
increased speed to 50kn surface and submerged
increased storage fore(@250)
added storage aft(@10)
all have type G1 torps
Will change others if requested, possibly, if I have the time and the inclination.

Improved? Hell you made it a fantasy, submarine. Not even modern nukes have that many torpedos.

And only a very few ships go 50 god darned knots!!!!

It's already fantasy. Some people take this game way too seriously.

Not everyone is a realism freak. Different strokes and all that.

Lorka42, the modified date on NSS_Uboat7a.GR2 and NSS_Uboat7a.val are over a month ago. Are you sure those files were changed?

Heretic, wasn't sure if the gr2 and the val get changed when making changes with them merged, thats why I added them. If you dont need to add them after making changes, let me know will be faster d/l-u/l .

I'm sorry, but when you said improved I was indeed thinking more realistic.

Others have modded stock subs to versions like yours, but they did not call it "improved". They gave it a title that said "this is a fictional remake of the stock boat", such as "Nuclear Type VII" or "Uber U boat" or something silly like that.

That is why I scoffed at your "improved Type VIIA"

How did you add torps? Did you add entried in the .sim file under storage? Oh, and btw, I can't download it. Just curious what you edited there.

I am curious to what files you edited. I have been trying to figure this out for sometime now. My nephew (12yrs old) loves sub games, but, unlike me, doesn't like to play with all the realism, and just wants to have fun hunting and torpedoeing ships. I admit, that once I finish the campain, I will probably give this a try, myself.
I have only been able to change the special abilities to add speed to the sub and instant reloading for him.

I used goblin editor to add storage space i made an idiots guide here on how to use it http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...0&postcount=28
after you do that you just open a submarine folder, open the .gr2 file with subs name, then merge the sim file. the storage is under wpn_torpedosys i believe.
