You need to give jimbuna a break, he lives in the UK and the coffee is abysmal!

Having developed a taste for proper coffee over the summer I now have to import it from the US of A. The shipping costs are high but it's worth every penny.

Those are my old specs (except I used XP rather than Vista) and it worked really well.

One of the GWX Dev Team will be here soon to confirm/deny.

WB is right. The specs look fine. THough there should be special instructions for Vista users in the GWX manual. (Available as separate download from the GWX website if needed.)

Those were the spects on my old computer, but with XP.
For Vista, you really need 4 GB of RAM.
For your best performance, you also need nHancer and either AlacrityPC or GameBooster.
Do not choose VSync in the options, and set particle density low.
To speedup loading, you should use only the campaign file of the region you are patrolling and be careful of adding mods as some will be frame rate killers.
Finally, be sure to activate the"lite harbor traffic" mod.
An added suggestion: save up you nickels and invest in a better computer.

HI!

I have some time now so I start new campaign with GWX3.0 and after 5 patrols I've noticed that I have no map contacts in stormy weather. It is possible that rough seas in GWX sink all the ships?
Thanks for answer.

Not sure what's up here but lets see if I can clarify.

Vista requires a minimum of 2GB RAM just to load it's services and maintain normal running apps.

GWX will run on an additional 1 GB RAM but 2 GB is recommended by most here. TBH you could probably make do with Vista + GWX running on 3GB RAM if you disabled most of Vista's resource hungry crap.

To give you some idea of how stupid Vista (as an OS) is, I merrily ran XP + GWX on 1GB RAM (combined) and still had one of the fastest loading times throughout the community and a very stable game.
