Default Astute Subamarine unbeatable?

Hello I read the very few upadates and infos regarding this incredible submarine. Okey few days ago due to a human error it experienced some trouble but what I wanted to ask, since I'm not in any way an expert in Naval Warfare is : if this sub is really "invincible-unbeatable-undetectable" according to Royal Navy reports, well this is like the end of possible Naval Warfare when this technology will spread throughout the years and other Navies will get something at least similar to this? Or is it something like with the fighter F-22 that was supposed to be invincible and undetectable until it happened that in training a much older aircraft in a possible dogfight situation and with an expert pilot could have downed that expensive aircraft?

Just for a laugh I've put in Bernard + Astute in Google and the top entry included this paragraph:

Dr Tony Rodger became president for “Oklahoma!”, and Bernard Phillips became chairman for “Showboat”. Under Bernard’s astute leadership, the company made excellent progress and his death after he had steered the company through twelve shows was a severe blow. Freddie Walker stepped in temporarily to see the Arcadians through a difficult period, before handing over the chairmanship to Bob Smith.

Alles klar

Nothing is invincible, but she is rather good, when driven in the right direction.

You can have all the fancy equipment in the world and still be the worst boat in the fleet. It's the crew that determines how good a boat is, not the boat itself. Therefore she is most vincible, beatable, and detectable to a better crew.

Then again if you build the best boat in the world with all the fanciest equipment... then take the crew out of the picture, well you got something dangerous indeed...

...don't think we are not heading towards that, there is talk of arming the RMMVs for the LCS.

Didn't the guy who wrote Das Boot say something like all the crew does is plug the holes in the machinery left by engineers?

I passed Faslane on Monday and she was tied up beside another sub, apparently still getting checked over for damage. There's a viewing area back on the hill overlooking the base where the military road crosses the hills, and there were a few people looking and taking photos. The publicity in the papers here has been a bit rough for the navy, and it looks like the Astute's commander has had it for this one.

During peace time running aground is the quickest way to lose a command. Hitting another ship is number two.

OK so perhaps it's not so unbeatable due to possible error and crew mistakes.... but considering that they won't give a 1.4 billion sub to a green crew, with equivalent crews can a another Sub stand a chance against this one?

For SSNs..

Well it would be a heck of a fight between an Astute and a Virgina. But I would say the Virgina has the edge because its more versatile and more mature (the Virginas are up to Block II with Block III being designed).

The Russian Yasen class while "new" is a quite old design (1993) and I would say the Astute has an edge over her.

The French Amethyste is quite old and lightly armed anyways except as an ambush weapon (the French boats are quiet due to their natural circulation reactor) the Astute has the edge easily.

The PLAN's Type 093, no chance against an Astute.

For SSKs there are a few there that would be a challenge. The Japanese Soryu, the German Type 212 and 214s, the French/Spanish Scorpene/S-80 class. The Swedish Gotland, maybe the Russian Lada and Chinese Yuan.

The Japanese and German subs would be the closest match I think since they are very new and AIP equipped.

But if what they say it's true i.e. that this sub under normal circumstances is as noisy as a baby dolphin or just a bit more, and that at the moment the other navies (especially the ones who potentially can be hostile to the United Kingdom) at the moment and in the near future don't have sensor that can detect it, the what you can do attack him or to prevent being engaged by him?
