Default Improved TA mod - testers required

Gentlemen,

I am still working on a manual for SCEdit - but the spirit is a little weak! In the meantime, it occurred to me that producing a mod to improve the TA detection ranges for the playable subs would be a much quicker project for me to undertake.

Several members of the forum have stated how poor the current detection capabilities are, and I also get that feeling. I am happy to produce a mod, but do not have the time to carry out testing in the sim. Are there any volunteers prepared to help out?

Initially, I would like a comparison of some of the existing playables as they stand - the three stock, and as many of the SCU platforms you are prepared to evaluate - including my own playables.

Essentially this entails you creating a detection scenario, and establishing the range at which detection occurred. Probably detecting one bogey at one depth would be fine, but if you feel like testing other variables (different depth, etc) that would also be helpful. That way I can build a picture of the existing detection abilities, making the production of a mod easier.

If anyone has any real life information on the different abilities of the TAs in the game that would also be useful, but I presume most of this is classified.
