Baden-Württemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia confirm first infections by returning travellers form Italy.

And an information on masks: FFP3 filter masks protect only as long as they have not become wet from breathing moisture. After ~20 minutes, they need to be replaced, since the moisture makes the material very passable for the virus. I am not sure how it is with masks including valves that imho should prevent the accumulation of breath moisture by allowing the air your breath out to exit via that valve, not through the filter. I think such masks should last longer. You get little benefit from these masks if there are no infectous people near to you, I would only wear them when needing to enter a supermarket, for example, of accept people at less than 3-4 meters didstanbce to me.

Best prophylaxis:

- washing your hands often

- sneezing into the crook of your arm instead your hand while turning away from others
- keep your distance, 3-4 meters, to others, avoid crowds, public transportation. Avoid meeting people.

- do not move with your fingers into your face, especially eyes, mouth, nose

- do not go and see your doctor if you do not really need to, his rooms may be an infestation lab already. routine examinations should wait.

- if you think you may have caught Corona, do not go and see a doctor, but telephone him and have somebody coming to you for testing you

- if you think you may have caught somehtign, dont be a hero and whip yourself to work in the office: but stay at home.
- Use a desinfectant on grips and switches and tools in your household frequently. Dont be obsessed and do not become a haunted person, but do it frequently: 1-2 times per week, and if you think you live in an alarm situation, once per day. I do it 1-2 times per week as part of my ordinary household routine: keyboard, mouse, telephone, TV pilot, light switches, appartment front door handle. Costs me one minute, a cotton ball and a bit of alcohol.

Well, I've started early enough to squirrel away food for about two to three months. Did you know after drying 8lbs of bananas it now weighs about 1.25 pounds?

Anyway, I guess the next step is to give notice at my job which I really do like. But at my age I just dont want to take chances like this. My concern isnt that doctors cant find a vaccine or heal me from injury or disease. I think we have the best doctors the world has to offer. My concern is the possible overloading of medical facilities and these wonderful professionals may make it much more difficult to do.

Reckon I'll take a long vacation hike the back country, see the sights, enjoy nature AWAY from crowds of people.

Good diet, exercise and vitamins C and D3 WILL help too

Sure there may be just a small number of confirmed cases but one just doesn't declare states of emergency without at least reasonable suspicion. I wonder if this declaration will create a domino effect where other major metro areas do the same. Watch it fizzzz!

One German Corona patient has infected staff at a university hospital where he stayed just one week ago. Corona then was not diagnosed, but he spread the infection already, it seems.

A German soldier who caught Corona, has led to a whole Bundeswehr base having been shut down and put under quarantine. Nobody gets in or out, it seems.

A German couple has fallen ill seriouls. And although they already felt symptoms and complained about them - they still attended Carnival assemblies. They deserve to be spanked for that, and should be sentenced to paying compensation to all they infected durign that party. Too bad there is no immunization shot against stupidity.

It seems to be like I thought and said already one week and ten days ago. Its out of control. I also thinkt that German authorities and minister Spahn still underestimate it and the potential for economical disruption.

If it become pandemic and out of control.

Example Danish, Swedish and German authorities forbid their citizens to leave town and if possible stay inside as long as possible and introduce some kind of state of emergency.

Hope not.
