Countries with an epidemiological situation ‘of serious concern’

According to the latest data available to ECDC, the countries whose rates and/or trends cause them to be categorised as of serious concern include Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, France, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. These countries have been categorised as ‘of serious concern’ on account of having high or increasing case notification rates and/or test positivity ≥3%, as well as high notification rates in the older age groups and/or high mortality rates. Germany is also included in this group of countries with an epidemiological situation ‘of serious concern’. The country also has increasing notification rates in the elderly, however due to technical issues, age-specific notification rates could not be reported through TESSy.

Looks like the European Union will surpassing the the big 300 thousand death rate later today or tomorrow.

Internet, digital infrastructure and cellphone network availability and stability in Germany are below average in the industrialised world.

But hey we have killed nuclear powerplants and want to kill the few - already too few - remaining cold-start-capable oil and gas powerplants as well!

Nothing saves the planet better than having a catastrophic power blackout throughout the country and the continent and not being able to relaunch once the hardware got fixed again.

Yes, I forgot to post the link. The tables are pretty much unmistakable and well known by now, however.

Oh most definitely....I've said from day one that the Chinese can't be believed but for some unfathomable reason I can't adequately explain I feel inclined to believe the Russian figures.

Astra Zeneca has announced its vaccine, rating it with a 70% protection after the firts shot (a half-dose) and 90% with the seocnd shot one month later ( a full dose).

It is NO mRNA vaccine. Its based on a reduced influenza virus attacking chimps.

Older people are said to tolerate it better.

It can be stored at 2-8°C, a great logisical advanatge.

What they donot tell is that the dvelopment was not as smooth as they now make everybody believed. In an early testing ohase, a quarter of subjects showed so seriosu side effects ans symptoms that they had to break off, later in phase 2 I think they had one case with so severe symptoms that the continuation of he trila was internatonally interurted for severla days, with the link to the vaccine even initially being denied (they could not uphold that cover story, however, and later amditted that the patient suffere from the vaccine for sure).

Positive I see it that we now have a candidate for s shot that is no mRNA vaccine. I will not trust the mRNA class of vaccines until we have had several years of long time experience with them. These cannot be simlated and time.compressed in the lab, thats why we do not and will not know before the time has passed.
