question re longitude and latitude

I understand degrees and minutes in longitude and lititude readings. But ATO adds another factor that has me stumped. What does the bolded portion the following readings mean? How is it interpreted? Long 18 deg. 32 min. E 090, Lat. 72 deg. 32 min. N 000.

I do not understand the need for those bearings. In PTO mods such as TMO, I have not seen them.

What is 'ATO'? The stock game? Or Operation Monsun?

Due North is 000 degrees, East is 090, South is 180 and West is 270. I'm not sure I've noticed the 'bolded' portions, and I've played OM a fair amount. Screenshot?

What OM has that is different is the KM grid squares, but I know that's not what you meant.

OM/OMEGU/KIUB. Scrren shot not necessary, plus I don't know how to do it, and do not want to upload it to imageshack. Trust me on the accuracy. The last time I looked, the Lat and Long readings above were also followed with a Course reading that said Course 090. I know 000 degrees means north, etc. I don't understand their relevance when we are provided with the Lat and Long. Posting a screenshot will not give you any more information, and only will confirm what is in my post.

I just checked my screen. Here is the complete reference.

Long. 18 deg. 32 min. E 090, Lat. 72 deg. 32 min., N 000 Course 090

Note, the course entry, Course 090, is the similar to the entry following the Longitude readings (E 090.) I do not know if that means something.

How could you not have noticed it? I see readings like it all the time, and just rechecked my screen to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
