Default Just want to say thanks for OM and OMEGU

Hello all,

first post here, and not really a question; I just want to point out how great Operation Monsun and OMEGU are. I have played Silent Service 2, Aces of the Deep, Silent Hunter 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Although I love my old AotD, and I very much liked SH 3 with GWX, in my opinion now the best WW 2 u-boat and submarine experience is SH 4 U-Boat Missions plus OM and OMEGU.

What you get with this setup is so overwhelming that it's nearly perfect. One of the best things is that you can play both the Germans, and the US, something I always missed in earlier subsims. It feels soooo epic.

So I really want to thank lurker (and all other modders who contributed parts) for the efforts of making this possible.

(I also believe that both mods should have a dedicated website, to ensure that they will be available for a long time.)

WELCOME ABOARD!

These mods do have a dedicated website right here at Subsim Downloads! Though Lurker isn't working on them anymore, he was kind enough to put them up here, where OM has already been downloaded more than six thousand times!

I'm not suprised. I've only just installed it myself and I'm having a great time.

I have enjoyed many happy hours in the US fleet boats, but could never get into the U-Boat campaign for some reason. Since installing OM and OMGEU I've been reminded just how much I enjoyed the Altantic scenario of SHII and SHIII. Been playing it non stop since installing it..... It's brilliant!

Fantastic work by Lurker and all the guys who contributed to the mod. I hope they are suitably proud that even a couple of years after releasing this mod, it's still able to attract new fans.

Jester UK,

You posted in another thread about the weather problems you were having. I did find the original thread with the weather fixer program for SH4 unfortunately the program has a glitch and is currently not working. The developer is no longer posting as far as I could tell.

I do have a copy of the utility but we need someone to fix it if at all possible.

Thanks Wilcke. As it is my weather problems are sorted thanks. Not quite sure what went wrong the first time but I started a new carreer in a Type IIc and have been battered from pillar to post by high winds and rough seas!!!

Still I've got a tough crew..... 15m/s Winds and towering waves and they're out on the bridge in their shorts and vests. Not even shivering! God they made those U-Boat fellas tough didn't they????
