Aces of the Deep - AddON/Patch Install

Hej Hej...

I have the CD-Version of AOD...no probs, but i can't install the AddOn/Patch...
I'm using DosBox 0,72...while trying to install (from c or the directory mounted in Dosbox as Floppy) an error occurs alltime...

just the install.bat:

null point assignment

enviroment variable not defined: IDrive C
GOTO...not found: chkdef

(almost ;-) it's not english....)

with direction (install c:\aod)

an installed version of AOD was not found in the specific direction....blabla

Can anybody help me with that or got another idea how to install the AddON/Patch...

i'd really like to play it...(complete)

DOSBOX will consider a whole hard disk whetever folder you mount. Thus, AOD folder will be considered itself the whole hard disk. If DOSBOX still recognizes your floppy, you should be able to mount first the hard disk, and then switch from inside the dosbox window to the floppy to install. :hmm:

Something like:

Mount C C:\Games\Aces (If you have AOD in the folder Aces on folder Games in physical disk C)

A:

A: install.bat

:hmm:

Aces of the Deep...so many years a go i have this game in my hand...but i didnt buy it...no computer in those days, even today i felt sadness because i never play, wich its so "Holly" as the film Das Boot, wich i have...

@ Hitman : i didn't mentioned, but i have no floppy drive... ;-)

but with help of the DosbOx guys i (or they ;-)) found a solution.
the install.bat resp. the ENG.BAT is weird written...so that's the problem with DosBOx...

Solution: at the end it's simply about zip/unzip

AddON: -one Big "resource.000" file and a data-file unchunk.exe
- copy both into an empty folder in the directory that u mount c with Dosbox
- in DosBox go in that folder and write: "unchunk resource.000 [folder]"
[folder] e.g. c:\oldgames\Test
- copy the unziped/unchunked ;-) content to your AOD folder and overwrite

Patch: the same, only 2 ressource files (000/001)

maybe that helps somebody else too!

p.s. english version recommended, otherwise mixed language

@ Red Heat : take a look at ebay, it's about 1€/$
