Greetings from Hungary!
Hey everyone!
First of all, I'd just like to say I'm not the most talkative person out there, but since I was quite moved by the beautiful and honorable welcome message of Capt. Neal, and then I saw there are other fellow Hungarians here, so I said why not join you guys to write a little introduction after all. So, let me introduce myself. I'm Peter, 20, from the heart of Europe, Hungary. (No, I don't know what it's like to live in a dictatorship, I'm not interested in politics. I welcome light political jokes about my country, but nothing serious!) To be honest, I'm more of a landlubber, I'm mainly into autosports (I study vehicle engineering), but on a hobby-level I'm still familiar enough with naval facts and expressions. My first sub game was actually Silent Hunter 5, around 4 years ago. This game, and the fact that I'm obsessed with WW2, got me so into the world of naval warfare that I read a whole bunch of books about the best stories of the German wolfpacks. I even installed TWoS, the one thing I particularly loved about it was the Enigma simulator, such a cool addition! I still remember how surprised I was when I got my first "gibberish"... My interest in naval warfare deteriorated over time, but months ago I started playing with Cold Waters (the Cold War is also on my list of the top 5 historic era, although definitely not #2), and also just recently watched The imitation game for at least the 5th time now, so I thought it was time to return to TWoS, now that I even have much-much more patience than back then. That's it about me, I'm looking forward being a member in this community! Good Hunting, Captains! |
