What if his acting(which some of you may classify as acting as a jerk)
is jeopardising ten thousand of American life.

Well, the way I see it if his behavior was the reason for the deaths of thousands of lives. Then that would have to mean every other leader in the free world must be behaving badly like jerks too.

US President Donald Trump has said he is going to halt funding to the World Health Organization (WHO) because it has "failed in its basic duty" in its response to the coronavirus outbreak.

He accused the UN agency of mismanaging and covering up the spread of the virus after it emerged in China, and said it must be held accountable.

I hope he knows what he's doing but I seriously doubt it.

He is equally as guilty of mismanagement and failing in his basic duty as far as I'm concerned and I doubt Boris to name just one of a great many more leaders are any better.

I have, He has a wooden performance while reading statements from the TELUS, frankly, he's more informative and entertaining during the Q&A.

Trump is pulling funding from the WHO for a reason, and it's not to deflect blame. No matter how you spin it, WHO dropped the ball on covid-19, they did not independently verify the Chinese Government's assertions on the scope of the contagion. In other words the Chinese Lied to the WHO, and the WHO reiterated that lie to the rest of the world. Trump is simply putting the WHO on notice to "get it's house in order" so this doesn't happen again. If you recall he's done this before, most notably with NATO. He threatened to pull out of NATO unless the other signatories started fulfilling their part of the agreement.

I'm beginning to wonder if Trump is thinking of putting the USA into a position resembling isolationism.

Russia and China certainly won't mind.

As much as I think isolation would be beneficial for America I believe its no longer possible. Its too bad we let things go as long as they did. Gone are the days of the original intent.

Way far too late, there aren't any restrictions within the individual states as far as I'm aware and that I fear will be the hardest defence to shore up.

Sonoma County will put in place mandatory face mask use in all businesses for staff and customers starting this Friday. I believe Marin County put this in place a week ago although I don't get local news feeds.

Rhode Islands Governor just made a similar executive order effective this saturday.
