@Buddhaid: From a comic it is, but not from the one you mentioned. I do not know "Legion of hate", maybe he rides something like that there too, but i guess not.
The part of the picture i posted belongs to another title.

@Aktungbby: Not Argus the giant eagle.

Hint(s):
It is Tarzan riding the X.
The author did not only write one story.
This story originates from the 1920ies, the comic much later.

Most would say yes. It is not so easy biologically, but.. yes.
It (or better its fictitious successor here) belonged to the Ornithischia.
Should be an "old acqaintance" of you

Though she plays a role in that part of the tale. As was mentioned in the first part she was not killed by the evil germans, so Tarzan is searching for her. One german also plays a role in this part of the tale (did i mention he of course also was depicted as evil )

What? This was only discovered in 1934, Burroughs cannot have known anything of this at the time.. so no.

But of course it is a saurian/dinosaur, and +-same time as X. (in reality, that is)

The combo Stego-Triceratops dinosaur: a gryf?

It does indeed!

Can the herbivorous power of the past, which has long delighted in the soft tools of diplomacy, trade and aid, really transform itself into a slavering, armed-to-the-teeth carnivore?
