Funassyi -the Pear Fairy. Mascot of the city of Funabashi.

Mascots are hugely popular in Japan and generate vast amounts of money for cities and businesses.

Funassyi ( according to his/hers? biography ) grew up in a tree with 274 brothers ( I love this stuff

), he decided to "branch" out and decided to go into show business.

Unlike other mascots who are voiceless, Funassyi speaks and is not shy with expressing an opinion. And has on occasion fought with rival mascots. He/she has also given amusing interviews to prestigious publications - The Wall Street Journal for instance.

Together with some other Rebel mascots, a band was formed - "Charamel" playing Metal music

Nyango Star - Apple Cat, Mascot of Kuroishi city, is a World Class Drummer with a great sense of humour. He doesn't speak but his Body Language is very good. He also does the "Cossack Dance" in costume on occasion ( gotta be very hard ).

The Empress Theodora. Supporter of the Blue political faction. A few Rock musicians have named their daughters after her.

She was libelled by Procopius and by extension Robert Graves. She had a strong character and strong appetites. She was an Empress, she didn't pussyfoot around.

At the Nika Rebellion her husband was hell bent on running away, but not her.

"I came up from nothing and if I can't continue to live as an Empress at least I'll die as one", and she lead out the Imperial Guard in what was seen as a suicide mission, and absolutely thrashed the rebels.

From then on her husband was very much the junior partner in Government.

I have seen Pink Floyd many, many times on video but sadly, never in person. Pink Floyd was before my time. I have also seen the iconic song" Comfortably Numb " played by Pink Floyd and specifically, by guitarist extraordinaire, David Gilmour. David is certainly one of the best guitarists to have ever played a guitar.

I think this is the best version of Comfortably Numb by David Gilmour among his many, many offerings. David's guitar work and articulation and phrasing in addition to his string / note bending and vibrato technique is incredible.
