Hello SquareSteelBar,

Thank you so much! I figured it was probably still available somewhere but I had no idea where. You're a lifesaver! Thanks again SquareSteelBar.

Sincerely,

OneTinSoldier

Hello,

I downloaded this mod for stock from SquareSteelBa's link. I remember that there was a small update which moves silent running and stealth meter icons to better places. Does anyone have this update?

Regards,

Hi noe,

dunno where to get this update but it's easy to do it yourself:

1. Backup your menu_1024_768.ini !!

2. Open menu_1024_768.ini in a text editor [notepad]

3. Look for the following lines & change the highlighted values:

[G3F I139]
Name=Stealthmeter
Type=1026;Menu group
ItemID=0x3F380000
ParentID=0x3F0C0000
Pos=740,-110,141,24
Color=0xFFFFFFFF
...

[G3F I146]
Name=Sillent running
Type=1031;Stat bmp array
ItemID=0x3F120002
ParentID=0x3F0C0000
Pos=177,-46,91,22
Color=0xB4B4B4FE
Materials=1
Display=0;No stretch
Mat 0=data/menu/gui/layout/MainOrders.tga
Crop 0=0.472656,0.828125,1,1
MatFlags=0x1
TexFmt=0x9
Drag=false
BmpState=1
NeedFocus=true
SelOne=false
IdGroup=0
StatesColors=0xFFFFFFFF, 0xFFFFFFFF, 0xFFFFFFFF, 0xFFFFFFFF
ToolTipText=2223

4. Save the changes

That's it.

Cheers,
SquareSteelBar

Hmm...:hmm:

Maybe you got a different release than me?

Try to fiddle around with the value mentioned above to get the wanted position...

Default FLB's Hydrophone Dial

I'm taking a wild shot here on the chance that there's anyone still looking at this thread. FLB's post #2 has a screen shot of the hydrophone station with an awesome hi res dial. I've searched all over the internet and my SH3 install for the hydrophone dial and how to change it, and haven't found a thing.

Does anyone know 1.) where I can get a texture/mod for my hydrophone dial or even 2.) where this dial texture is in the SH3 folder so I can try modding it myself?

Thanks in advance.

Everyone will look at this thread now, because you just bumped it back to the top.

Good question. I use this mod, and I'm pretty sure the hydrophone is not part of it. But where to find it? Sale mentions the Bordeinstrument mod from Oakgroove, but I'm also pretty sure that that mod is incorporated into GWX, along with a few others. My hydrophone dial looks real good, and I don't recall using any special modes for the hydrophone.

Hello !

The Texture from the Hydrophone it´s not a Texture of it´s own, but it´s the Texture called cadrane_radio_7.tga (7 for Sub Type VII for example; 9 for Type IX...).

You find the Texture either in the Texture Folder (data\Textures\TNormal\tex) or included in the file called "Nss_Uboat7_CR.dat" in the data\Interior Folder. Open the file with S3D and search for the file !

And a Tip: Download you this MOD: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=158294 It´s a MUST HAVE MOD !

Hope that helps !

Best regards,
Magic

Thanks guys! After a bit of searching I found Oakgroove's Bord Instrumente mod, and after a bit more searching I found a mirror for it that actually worked (thanks to Avon Lady's faq page with mod links).

I've been going through a phase of upgrading my dials, and did some of my own modifications to the menu_1024_768.ini file. Making the hydrophone prettier is the frosting on that cake.

Maybe you're looking for something like this:

It is based on OakGroove's instruments - I added only the arrows like in movie...:

cadrane_radio_7.tga

Because it's the best i've ever seen.

Better to ask OakGroove for permission...

You don't need my permission for four tiny black arrows...

I find this mod Great!

[QUOTE=Jochem;201933]...

I find this mod Great!
But if I sit up my 3D stereo glasses, I get a horror!

If I do adjust my glasses I have the great depth of alignerent ding right in the middle
, and if I'm going to be charged with the mouse on the monitor,
opens independently of the compass!

I think a interesting ad on for the non-play with the 3D glasses.
And these are the most.
Good work!

Ok, but it seems he's not showing his face anymore here, last activity 2008.
But i and i think several hundreds of modcreator useing Dials from his Bordinstrumente Mod. He get's a nice place on my Credtis, atleast i know his name now! can't find him before.

[Edit]: Of course you get's a place there too, you givin' me the Idea and the 4 little Arrows that make the Dial Special.

JSGME version for vanilla game

Subj. Should work on non-modified game or with mods that don't touch this mod's files.
Since there's no auto-install, I've added simple autohotkey script to automatically insert numeration. At least there won't be errors in numbers in case someone needs to set it up manually.

Someone pls repost to a more permanent file hosting:
http://www.gamefront.com/files/20551...ials_JSGME.zip
Having it around would save me several hours and I think I'm not alone -- and in a couple of weeks the file will be gone.
