CAOD and xp
I've searched and have successfully install Command Aces of the Deep on my xp system. It will not run due to insufficient memory error and I can't find a solution in my searches. I can run it on a 98se machine in the basement but feel I'm one step from getting it going in xp. Anyone get around ths?

Buddahaid,
Have you tried running it in "Windows 98/ME" Compatibility Mod. Don't know if this will do what you want, but would be the first thing I tried. Do a right click on desktop icon and go to "Properties", then click on the "Compatibility" Tab. Hope it works for you. Jim

Yep, the install scenario involves deleting the SIERRA.INI file, installing without the computer test, then setting the following files as described.
CAOD in WINDOWS XP (by CDRSUBRON7) Go to the Aces folder in C: drive, find these seven files and set them all to Win 95 compatibility - also set the resolution (screen) to 256 colours. The list of files is: AOD folder : AODCD.exe Sim folder : ICSSFBWT.exe, ICSWINMM.exe, ICTARESH.exe, ICWINSRV.exe, SUBSIM.exe Shell folder : PS.exe This works to get it installed but I still get the memory error. Searched back to page six in this forum and found the fix for me in the memory allocator. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=97271
