Getting SH3 to run on a old Laptop Windows 8 Laptop

I have aquired a old Windows 8 Laptop upgraded to Windows 10 and ram from 4 to 8 gig.
I put in a 250 gig ssd installed SH3 and it would only work in windowed mode even tried setting it to the lowest resolution then clicking on full screen applying then changing resolution back to 1366 x 768 even after upgrading graphics driver still in windowed mode grrrr!.
So i had a look on youtube and found this tried it and it works happy chappie swanny link to video below

Default

Maybe a Win 10 thing; I play it on a Win 8 laptop full screen without having to do anything.

Default Old hardware

Put Linux on your old machine and run SH3 using Wine. It works fine. And it's all free. https://ubuntu.com/ or https://getfedora.org/ for example.

You could put Linux on a memory stick along with Wine and SH3 , then just boot from the memory stick when you want some retro-action.

A note of caution - some of the more recent SH3 mods place heavy demands on graphics, which can result in unacceptable frame rates on old laptops with "integrated" graphics. This was always a problem with SH3 when it first came out and why I only came back to it a few years ago.
