Default When there are no more torpedoes.....

Hello friends: When all the torpedoes are exhausted, would I have to load the ones from the outer reserve? I don't know how that operation is carried out. Then when these were also used and there are none left, is the mission terminated or is there a supply instance? Thank you very much for your responses.

Hello jorgegonzalito, nice to see someone from South America around here!

When all your torps in the inner reserves are used, first you must drag the torps stored in the external reserves with your mouse to the inner reserve slots, and then drag them to the torpedo tubes as you normally do to reload. Just in case, the time it takes to your crew to transfer the torps from the external reserves to the inner reserves is much longer than it takes to reload, so don't worry about that.

Just in case, there are some mods (can't remember which ones) that prevent you to do that with bad weather. If you are not using any of those mods, then you can still carry on with the procedure no matter what the weather is like...

As for the the resupply, there are "milk cows" and "bases" at sea and neutral ports at different periods. They are Python, Belchen, Bessel, Thalia, Corrientes, Max Albrecht, Charlotte Schliemann and Brake, you can find the locations and periods of availability for all of them by pressing F1 key and clicking in the "Resupply Info" with your mouse.

If you run out of torpedoes you can still go to your assigned patrol grid without torps, you can return to you base or you can go to resupply to a milch cow or to any of the above resupply bases/ships mentioned above. You won't get penalized, the only thing is that you won't get the renown awarded for reaching and/or staying in the grid for 24 hours as you were ordered.

Anyway, it's simple as that.

Que tengas una muy buena semana. Saludos desde Bolivia!

For historical reference, if a U-Boat ran out of Torpedoes before the patrol was over, it would enter its patrol area and serve as a weather boat.
If it came across a convoy, it would shadow it and report it to BDU!

That's correct...

But for SH3 purposes, it doesn't have any consequences...

Default Saludos desde Buenos Aires, Argentina!

Hello neighbor! A pleasure to read you! Thank you for your valuable reports, which I will implement shortly. I don't like when phrases like "Submarine lost" or "Submarine surrendered" appear in the mission summary and my ship and crew are healthy, swimming and sunbathing on deck. You mention as one of the supply points: Corrientes, Argentina? hahaha if that's the case, I guess the government will turn a blind eye when it sees a German submarine navigating the Paraná River. So you have to finish the torpedoes, you have to return to the starting point and serve 24 hours for Her Majesty "SH3" to say: "Time expired." A virtual hug friend!

Default Hello dear friend thanks for your answer

Hello Commander! That would be the most sensible thing to do in real conditions. I hope the SH3 reasons it in the same way! Danke Herr Kaleun!

I think the same, it's a matter of experimenting and seeing how the SH3 reacts in each circumstance. I suppose that the reloading of torpedoes from the outer reserve must be done with the U-boat on the surface, is that correct? Greetings!

No, Corrientes (Corrientes is the name of the ship) in Spain (Port: Las Palmas, Location: Isla Gran Canaria)... nor is it Corrientes 348 as in the tango "A media Luz"....

When you dock at a milk cow or another resupply base you will get a NULL grid to patrol, that means that you can go anywhere you like, make some tonnage and then return to your base.

Thanks for the hug my friend! Same to you!

That's correct... If you are not on the surface the outer reserve slots will appear greyed, meaning that they are not available unless you surface to start the procedure

Very fastidious operation and very risky ... U boat couldn’t dive in case of sudden attack....

Via Blair, it depended on a few things what the next orders would be; how long the boat had been out, practicality of re-supply, etc.

Sometimes they'd be ordered to return to base, sometimes other orders (weather, resupply here, etc.).
