I played SH3 for long time, and some 3 months ago i started with SH4, but U-boat is U-boat... no replacement for U-displacement...
Stock sounds were really lame... i really mised those crew life sounds like wispering, coughing, flushing the toilet , small things like that. after all, (i guess) that most people play this game to expirience what was it like to be there, and without any modifications it sounds like you're alone on the boat most of the time. i know you must of heard it for hundreds of times, but i wish i know anything about this stuff, it would rock to create really atmospheric sound mod... im nuts, i know...

This thread is about the Das Boot Sound Mod for SH4. Have you tried it? It does exactly what you describe.

Sorry. If I had reread your posts I would have known what you meant. You knew what you meant. Why didn't I?

Default Dive Alarm

Have DBSM installed, great mod, but still getting American klaxon sound instead of German bells on diving, any fixes for this?

I just went through and listened to the relevant files, and they are as they should be.

Go into Data/Sound and listen to Submarine_DiveAlarm_INT. It should play a whole routine of water sounds and the crew being ordered to diving stations. If it plays anything else then it didn't install properly and needs to be reinstalled. If it plays that then there is something wrong with the trigger for those sounds.

I've usually been in TC mode, so I've never noticed it. I'll take a look.

[edit] I listened to Submarine_relieve_watch_INT in my installation and all I hear is a click, which means I blanked that file. Listen to it in yours. If you hear the whistle then you somehow have the wrong file. If you hear a click then I made a mistake, and it's tied to a different file.
