The western world uses fancy choppers to insert it's troops to the battlefield, we at SLA use public transportation. Less polluting, you know.

All this war. I tire of the destruction...the carnage...can't we all behave like civilized people...
...and drive V-8 powered steel machines around a track while trying to run each other off into the spectators? Starting field at Imola. The pic isn't dark, the race was just at dusk. Spinning out a fellow racer. Alas, not deliberately as that would imply competence. He starts to spin... And off the track he goes...

Just had a great game of ArmA. 5-6 of us played as group the whole time, was a blast.
Here's few shots of our last insertion before I left. Inside Black Hawk, on our way to Dolores, Craggs looking out the window Paradrop ~500m from the target Regrouped and ready to move in to the city Dolores captured, stupid flyboys didnt give us a lift, so we had to run to the next city (insert the track from Black Hawk Down's ending here :p) Aaaaand as we closed in on the city, we were ambushed on a open ground (my ammo counter is showing red, meaning I'm blasting on full auto), all died. |

The game world is pretty big, there's 2 maps, Rahmani being a small island with small airfield and one small town. Then there's the main map, Sahrani, which is HUGE. That's where most of online gaming + the main SP campaign takes place. Also, there's no loading in different areas, it's all streaming. You get quite a big selection of arms you can have, from pistols to assault rifles to RPGs and Stingers. Same goes for the vehicles, you can drive everything you find. From a military motorcycle to a jet. Going online is the best thing about ArmA, you find pretty mature ppl playing it and usually they work together. Here's a good example how cool it is, when ppl work together: Last edited by Dowly; 05-27-08 at 03:59 AM. |
