The only ship I can find that can stop the Iowa is the Yamato. I had her heavily damaged in a storm sneaking close and firing then moving off but as soon as the storm lifted I got caught in a cross fire between her and a Fuso and they put me to the bottom.

Yeah you got to be careful if you're going against the Yamato. I find that if you're able to get into a long rang slugfest with her you'll win more often due to the Iowa having better long range accuracy.(I never get closer then 7000 yards max.)

i know you dont mod any axis ships but would you consider making that playable trawler for the german side with the german colours so it looks like the one in the stock sh4 museum. I would like having it for axis and let it have mines.

Of the coast of West Timor, 19th February 1942, 21.21 hours, single Dutch armed trawler stumbled across Japanese invasion force.

Using onboard radar, they closed in from behind, at first avoiding contact with escorting ships. Eventually two destroyers tried to investigate, why are those troop transports blowing up, but after some well placed shots, followed them to the bottom. The whole engagement ended at 00.31, when the brave crew decided to break contact, which they succesfully did. http://imageshack.com/a/img706/8057/6c6k.png The end result, eight troop transports and two Fubuki class destroyers sunk. Cdp44 (From what I´ve read about Japanese invasion of Dutch Timor, I think these ships were carrying 228th Regimental Group, headed for Paha River.)

Wow this looks like exactly what i was looking for!!!
Any tips what a good ship to start with is just to bomb around the Pacific and blow stuff up? also...I am assuming that the ship pack's conflicts with GFO is ok since it was tested with GFO? Only mods I am using is GFO and the ship pack. thanks! Last edited by gord96; 03-26-14 at 04:38 PM. |

How to make ships career playable in some of the Super-Mods
Hi all,
I just got back into subsim. I had a blast with WarshipMod3 for GWX3-SH3 and was looking for surface combat in SH4 as well. I don't yet have a super-Mod a-la FOTRS etc. selected. Can you give any advice on the best super-mod to use with playable surface ships, and can you explain how to make any of the ships linked in the OP career playable with a super-mod? Thanks!!! |

Hey cdp, I know you might be busy, but I have a request that is really important to me. Could you make the USS Astoria or some other New Orleans class CA as playable? She is my favorite cruiser, and I LOVE her. If not, that's ok, you still are AWESOME!!!!!!
