To be honest

The exact numbers of how many who have died from this virus is not that important for me, even though it would be interesting to know.

What I see as most important in this case...is China willing to share everything they know about this virus with WHO or other medical organizations around the world.

It seems that China tries to hide a lot of incompetence in the beginning, which has helped to spread the virus, to react not early, and this could put the party's repuation into doubt. So in so far as openness compromises the party'S authpority, they will try ti hide real numbers and full knowledge. The party must always be right, and even high killing scores shall not undermine its authority. After all, this still is China, and thus a very draconic, inhumane regime.

Sure. That's why that wonderful dictatorship is still refusing entry of US CDC experts and others. And that's also why they are arresting anyone trying to get the truth out. So transparent.

I doubt the true death figures from China will ever come out and how this outbreak started. I also do not believe China will learn a dam thing from their second mess as there will be another one sooner or later.

In the second video at 9:00, they are now now saying that the virus may have an R0 (infection rate) of 4.7 to 6.6, meaning each infected person transmits it to 4-6 other people. The (H1N1) 2009 influenza virus pandemic had an R0 of 1.2 to 1.6.

Another officer infected while assisting Diamond Princess passenger.

I'm just now getting over the flu ... third day, but has all of the same symptoms they have. No way am I going to go to the doctor or even
think that it is the big bad one out of China.

I feel so sorry for all of the people in the area of concern that get the regular flu

You did the right thing by staying home. They estimated that 40% of infected people in China caught it while visiting the hospital for other reasons.

^This one was another case of miss reporting, I clearly heard "EUROPEAN DEATH" which to me sounds like a European person born in Europe. It would have been better if they said "FIRST DEATH IN EUROPE" and not the way I heard it. Thankfully not all the news media are miss reporting as many people do not go pass the headlines.
