Yeah, that part of the video particularly caught my attention. The math doesn't lie. Scary stuff.

Yeah. That fit's but rest assured it will be all Mike Pense's fault. I'm curious as to how the 8.3 billion will be spent if there's nothing to buy?

I somehow expect reports about the first cases detected in the ISS and in a few dozen submarines because why the hell not at this point.

1/3 of residents in a South Korean apartment block contract coronavirus.
Quote:
A South Korean apartment complex is under lockdown after one third of its residents became infected with the novel coronavirus in the city of Daegu, according to the Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC).

Of the 140 residents in the two apartment buildings, 94 are members of the Shincheonji religious group, Daegu Mayor Kwon Young-jin said on Saturday. The apartment complex is to be under quarantine, he added.

So far, 46 residents have been confirmed to have the virus, 80 have tested negative and the remaining 14 are being tested, KCDC said.

I assume its the same in Europe and Germany, in principle at least. over here in Germany, reality-denial and trying to appease mathemtics still is the politicians daily hobby, especially the Germans so far stem themselves against getting restrictive and contorlling the borders. Whenever a measure gets mejtioned, the health ministre immediately is there, saying that it should not be done for this and that reason, and he has a hige fan club of officials who fall into the chorus as soon as he has stopped talking. But that guy is a extraordinary dud anyway.

People should understand this: preparing for the shortages in supplies means to also consider production shutdowns that could last for weeks and months. Which means supplies will not be delayed, but will not come for weeks and months. And that can include anything that you usually do not mind for in your household. Chemicals used to produce household cleaners for exmaple: if your country you live in produces them itself, good, but if said country depends on importing chemical key ingredients from China, or another country that gets heabily hit by the pandemic, you are screwed. Traffgic will be hit and crews will end up in quarantine, too, you know. Correction, traffic already is hit.

Preparing reserves means a bit more than just canned food and water.

I find it hard to give credibility to much that comes out of China these days but a great deal less for that coming out of North Korea.

Lets face it this is just the early days of this Covid-19 with not enough data to prove anything except that older people are more variable than the young.

Look at this report from the NY Times: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/08/w...#link-5809734f

Quote:
In California, only 516 tests had been conducted as of Thursday. Health officials in Washington State have more cases than they can process. In New York City, officials have pleaded for more test kits from the C.D.C.
The whole report puts Trump and Pence in a bad light of what is really being done, but come on man only 516 test have even been done in the state of California with all of those still on a cruise ship headed for Oakland, Ca Monday morning. The data is going to increase with the oldest dying first as in South Korea, Japan and Italy.

Some actual good news, people. China has massively increased the production of masks, as in 'more than one hundred millions per day' now, and is already sending hundreds of thousands for free to the countries that sent some of their reserves to them last month. With the epidemic apparently under control there, I find it reassuring to see them taking an industrial leadership role.

Plus remember those two (2) new hospitals China put up in record time?

They have already closed down one of them

This is why the present day data doesn't make sense

Only 516 test have been conducted in the state of California (untill the Diamond Princes cruise ship docks monday)

But look at this report in the LA Times : https://www.latimes.com/california/s...in-san-antonio

At least 433 coronavirus cases have been confirmed across the U.S., including about 90 in California.

Still, China appears to have the under control, even if there are new contaminations. Plus, they can probably build five hospitals for each one that needs to be closed. At the moment, they look like to have things relatively stabilized, and their political system allows a shift to a 'biowartime' economy that we need right now rather than whenever Trump will start coughing and feels like convincing 'healing prayers' crowds to tell their Big Pharma backers to off.
