Giggle of the day: the US Army vaccinates soldiers of the Bundeswehr that are currently based in the US, I suppose for training purposes. Until end of April, the Germans should have gotten their full vaccine protection.

This new study is cause for big hope by some German experts. Asthma-inhilators with the agent budesonide seem to massively reduce the chance for serious complications in Covid-infected people so that they will not get hospitalised.

Already early on it was flund that amongst hospitlised Covid patient there only are very rare numbers of asthma patient and patient with earlier symptoms of respiratory infecitons, so it was assumed that medicaitosn used against these two might have a relevance for fightign againbst covid, too. It seems the theory finds support in empirical evidence now. The gemrna SPD'S health expert Lauterbach, a doctor himself, calls it a game chnager, since the study was done well and represents solid methodological quality.
