The problem of SKora is the same like for anyone else: how long can tight measures be kept up without breaking the eocnomy an consumming up material reserves. Even in Korea they need test tubes, even if they produce them themselves.

Firts the spirng break idocy which the auhtorities should have cracke down ahrd on, and then the fatc that many people cannot afford getting tested or beign ill and off daily job duty, so they still keep on spreading it like crazy. This is why the givenrment should have mad etesting free for everybody many, many weeks ago.By nto doign so, it has accelerated it all and multiplied the damage to people and econoym by factors.



Europe is badly off due to filtering tissues for FFP3 masks beign produced in China still, even if the masks can be put together in Europe elsewise. Same with test tubes. Then the prpduction number of ventilators, they lack behind the need by a two digit factor.

I can see us riding this only in waves. We maximise curfew and all that, brign the curve down, so that the treshhold of the health system is not being overstepped, then we ease the measure and allow the ifneciton rate tto grow until short of that treshhold, then we tighten thign sagain and bring the curvve - hopefully - down. Thats is a very very risky ride, however, and ti could go terribly wring with every single iteration. We must do so until immunization levels in the population are somewhere around 80% or so. Either be desease and surviving it, or by vaccination.


I stop linking Chris Martensons updates, its too depressing. Yesterday he had a spanish doctor who was in tears telling the camera that they take ventilators away from old people and give them to the many young patients, putting the old on sedatives so that they die a bit less painful. The Spanish have messed up, very, very, very big time, wanting to save the tourist business with their festivals even when they knew they had Corona in their coutnry already. Murderous ignorrant bastard the government was on that. The people now pays a heavy price for their pathetic arrogance.


In three or four states in germany, even tighter rules than the announced -not-more-than-two are in place. There you are de facto forbidden to leave the house without a good reason (job, supoermarket, doctor visit). Else it is now spatial separation, no social separation. It is due to the rivalry between two minister presidents wanting to become chnacellor next time that this rule has not been brought in for all, the guy poreventing it, is a Merkel man trying to score with voters by not cracking down too hard on them and posing with basic rights issues. Politicans and their egos. Makes me immediately think of chlorine cleaners and hard brushes.


Its pleasently quite outside. No Greta and no Fridays for Future on TV. The situation also has its positives.

Prisons will soon be emptied a bit, at least "minor" offenders" will be released and I read that in some countries they already do that, so to ease the pressure on the in-house hygienic situation, which is a calamity in these institutions.

In the US with its commercialised prison system and much huger number of prisons and prisoners, this leaves food for interesting thought.


If you are a prison ward, this is a clever time to quit the job and look for a new one - before the economic hammer starts to fall on jobs and employment rates as well.

I am quite amused watching Dr. Fauci cut down Trump on a now regular basis during the Covid-19 briefings/press conferences; Dr. Fauci was interviewed recently and was asked about his reactions to and refutations of Trump's lies and bombast, doing so right in front of Trump's face; the Dr. said he wasn't trying to openly contradict Trump, he was just trying to make sure the plain facts regarding the crisis were made apparent to the US public; he also made a comment about how he was not trying to take the microphone out Trump's hands...

Oh, please, please, Dr. Fauci, please do take that mic so that we don't have to listen to the dribble and BS Trump spews; maybe once you find a way to rid the country of Covid-19, you and your fellow scientists can turn your attention to the malignant viral infection infesting the Oval Office...

Yea .. you know it is kinda funny. The Trump Derangement crowd has a problem. Like most people they want this crisis to pass. And they want it to pass with the least loss of life and the least economic and social disruption. Hey at least we closed our borders to China on 23 January. You all are on the same land mass and finally got around to closing your borders just last week. Hence Europe's claim to fame as "The New Epicenter". And I thought our response was slow.
