The foreground breakwater is the entrance to the Napa River(note water coloration difference-fresh and the Sacramento brine all draining into the San Pablo Bay of the greater San Francisco Bay. Major oil refinery off-load piers and the C&H sugar refinery dock to the south bank. On a brisk day-brutal-four foot swells and 25 knot+ winds; current at seven knots with ebb tides. Main Ship 90' channels to Stockton on both sides of the river.
