I've gotten a reply from Ubisoft. Essentially, they state that they do not condone circumventing copyright protection on SH3 and advise Subsim not to particiapte in providing a forum for SF cracks or info about same. He mentioned there wa some discussion about a non-SF patch being released but did not suggest that this was a certainty.

So, as before, if you want to find workarounds to SH3 with SF, you will have to do it off the forums.
