Notice of editing

I haven't had a post edited by a mod in a long time, but it would be nice to
know that if I ever did have a post edited or deleted by a moderator; I would
be informed and those reading/unable to read that post would be informed.

However, I notice that doesn't always seem to be the policy.

I think it's only fair that upon editing or deletion of a post one should receive
a brief PM saying what has been done and why and others reading the thread
should know that there are words that do not belong to the original author or
that parts have been removed. It might even prevent trouble later on.

It's good to know it's the aspiration, even if time does not always allow.
