Would you prefer a definitive date that had been announced earlier and then had to be altered at the last moment due to an unforseen RL event occurring to a vital team member, the direct consequence meaning an anavoidable delay in the release.

How many people do you suppose would be disappointed on this forum.

The number of GWX Team members almost dictates and in actual fact has dictated that RL events did happen which inevitably resulted in the current delays we are all witnessing.

When GWX2.1 is released, it will be at a level of quality all GWX users have grown accustomed to.......of that you can be sure

A big bug......no

A serious problem.......no

Hypothetical.....yes

I've been playing/testing a bug free, non problematic version for a few weeks now.

It will be released when it's proven to be able to meet the exacting standards everyone expects of it

Kinda forget how spoiled we are with GWX. I have recently installed SH4 again and trying to figure out what goes with what and in what order to install them is abit daunting. Would be nice to see this kinda of setup over there but something tells me there might be some resistance.
After 2 years I still cant wait to get home from work and turn on the puter to play this game.

Actually it was announce only yesterday IIRC by Kpt. Lehmann that GWX will be going over to SHIV.

No timescales have been mentioned, nor will there be regular updates/announcements like we have provided for SH3 in the past.

Besides.....you've still got GWX2.1 to look forward to

SH3 started out modded much like SH4 looks now. It will all come together one way or the other. I'm a huge fan of one large mod download with all the bells and whistles. GWX delivers just that. In the mean time, enjoy GWX and the new build coming out as SH4 gets sorted for both the fleets and the uboats. All of this in SH3 took over two years, blood, sweat and burned up hard drives to get it here. Everybody loves one theater or the other, sometimes both, so some rubbing up against the docks will happen from time to time.

Sadly, that will be inevitable I suppose.

personally speaking, I'm looking forward to the day when GWX is included in SHIV and SHIV is modded to the same degree as SH3.

I want the best of both worlds and the option to play both

No doubt the above statement may be thrown back at myself on numerous occasions in the future.

SINL EM ALL!! MATEY

Jimbuna,

I have never brought or played SHIV to date. The main countries involved do not really interest me, but if GXW does move over to SHIV and produces similar results as they have here then I would strongly consider purchasing SHIV.

Its taken me since 2005 to get a fairly good grasp on how to mod basic areas of SHIII and I've never played the game proper, I've only loaded missions to try a mod out or to see a mod that I have made in action other than that U657 has never started a war patrol

Once GWX has finished with SHIII, I dare say there will be a knock on my office door with a HQ official eager to hand me mission orders. As GWX raps up its modding with GWX, I dare say the "Venatore" wont be to far behind swapping modder cap for a U-boat captain cap.
