Admittedly not mine but what a friend posted on FB and I thought it good enough for a laugh in these trying times
“And because of this we must act now and enter a national lockdown” Boris Johnson. Things I’ve learnt so far... Supermarkets have an invisible force field that pubs and restaurants don’t have. It could only get you before if you were in a group bigger than 6. It was dormant til 22:00 It will know if you’re from a different household but it’s clever enough to know that if you’re in a support bubble it needs to chill the heck out and not mess with you. Schools, no drama. I’m deadly but your mixing and then returning home is no worries. Just send ya kids to a place where kids are sent home to isolate everyday! Do not see those same class mates after school as if you don’t have ya blazer on it’s gonna notice. It’s gonna have a few days off til Thursday though apparently so we can get prepared to be locked down. Proper sound of it that like

I made a little mistake I posted a critic comment to a friends bulletin and today I can see I have been mocked.
I rest in the...something...that my friends and his friends has zero knowledge in Medicin and virology, who's main goal is to criticize the elected socialist government. I'm also convinced most of them are only showing off on FB and do as recommended when away from FB. Markus |

Since it is so profound, some may ask what to read about vitamine d in generla in order to get a profound start. The names that I do know are relevant internationally in the researching of vitamine D, are Prof. Michael Holick from the US, Dr. Uwe Gröber from Germany (with whom he coauthored the best available "bible" on Vitamine D in german language), and Dr. Raimund von Helden from Germany.
Holick is medical doctor and biochemist. He is the discoverer of Calcidiol and Calcitriol, which are the so-called circulating and the activated forms of Vitamine D. His research focus always has been Vitamine D. - Uwe Gröber a doctor of pharmacology and one of Europe'sS leading experts on micro nutrients and their interaction with both physiological environments (body) and with medical drugs. He founded a research institute and has written many books, some targetting a laymen audience, some are meant for the students at universitity, and the heavyweight writings are for academical experts and insiders of the medical branches. He cooperates with many hospitals in research projects and is a much asked-for speaker on conferences. - Raimund von Helden is a practical doctor and was the first medical expert in the world who identified and described the Vitamine D deficiency syndrome a decade ago. Additional to his practice he runs several websites on vitamin-D related topics, and wrote books on it as well. The book co-authored by Gröber and Holick, seems to be not available in English unfortunately, which is a shame, its extrenmely good. I have just red it this summer, and it really is the basis and fundament if you want to dive deeper into the topic while not being a medical insider expert well versed in medical terminology, its also robust in page numbers and weight .... This year has seen the fourth edition already, updated with the latest of the latest data at the time of print. First release was in 2013. https://www.amazon.de/Vitamin-D-Die-...s=books&sr=1-8 Anyway, you now have some names to get started with: Holick, van Helden, Gröber. They all three drove the cause for vitamine D over the past years. Holick has published in English as well, of course, but I do not buy or own these books. Also, many publications by him in medical journals. Never take higher doses of Vit-D over logner time without Magnesium. K2 is good as well, but I recently learned and understood that it is not as important for the Calcium control, than the Magnesium is. I made a flawed mental concept there, but finally got it corrected. K2 is good, you can take it, but it is not as essential as previously claimed by me, Magnesium is more important, much more (for keeping an eye on Calcium when taking Vit D, that is).

Boris Johnson is due to address MPs about his plan for a new four-week lockdown across England from Thursday.
In his statement at about 15:30 GMT he will say without action, deaths could be twice as high over winter than they were in spring. On Saturday the PM announced pubs, restaurants, gyms, non-essential shops and places of worship would be affected. Several senior Tory MPs oppose the move but Labour says it will back a new lockdown. Scotland's five-level system of Covid restrictions has come into force. Wales' First Minister Mark Drakeford says the 17-day "firebreak" lockdown will end as planned on 9 November.

The government announced 23,254 confirmed cases of Covid-19 on Sunday. There were also 162 further deaths. Of those deaths, 132 were in England, 16 in Wales, eight in Northern Ireland and six in Scotland. Coronavirus cases are rising quickly across large parts of England, with other spikes in areas of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. On Friday, the government said its estimate for the R number across the whole of the UK was 1.1-1.3.

Germany hasn’t suffered as much from coronavirus as some of its European neighbours, but now it is in “lockdown light” for at least a month.
The shutdown mainly affects catering, sports and entertainment. Food outlets can still provide takeaways, but social lives is taking a hit: 10 people maximum from two households can meet up in public. Small businesses can apply for state compensation for their losses. Schools, shops and workplaces remain open - with Covid hygiene rules, of course. This lockdown isn’t as tough as those now in force in France and Belgium. Those two countries have night curfews and shops can only sell essential goods. France requires its citizens to download permits - as in the March-April lockdown - to show why they are outdoors: for essential shopping, medical needs, school, work or limited exercise. Belgium is among the worst-hit European countries. With a population of 11.5m it has seen more than 11,000 deaths and, in the past week, its new infections have averaged nearly 15,850 cases daily. Its hospitals are under severe strain. Italy is also preparing tighter restrictions, to curb its rising infections, but there is resistance to any new national lockdown. The northern Lombardy region, including Milan, is the biggest hotspot.
