Along with Earl Palmer, Hal Blaine was the steady beat, the heartbeat, behind so many hit songs of the 60s and 70s, as well as TV and film soundtracks. Hal was a real "go to" player when a solid, professional, creative, and reliable drummer was called for; as part of the world famous "Wrecking Crew" group of studio musicians based out of the Hollywood recording studios, he helped shape the sounds and launch the careers of countless musical acts. Hal was a "drummer's drummer", someone who all other drummers, from the famous pros to the beginning drummers looked to as a model and inspiration.

Hal Blaine will always be the gold standard for drummers everywhere...

Thanks Hal for helping to shape the sounds of popular music and culture; Rest In Peace...
