looks like only a max of 5-6 GOP Senaors would vote to convict, so the 2nd impeachment will most likely go bust:

That is pretty much my calculation also.

CNN did an article on the GOP Senators who could vote to convict. They could only come up with 15 names (you need 17) and most were long shots.

All the 10 GOP Congressmen who voted for impeachment are already getting blowback, donors are cutting off funding and primary challengers are lining up.

Indeed, but oil and gas will not disappear any time soon. Electric vehicles have been in "the works" since 1890. Solar panels need to be less expensive and better looking. Not a fan of windmills personally. These thing take time but are in the works. Then there is always the strategic oil reserve. No matter how much people like to think the world is all Kumbaya, it is not.

One of your articles is particularly interesting, as it states how China strives to become emmission-neutral in 2060 - re: Paris is dumb because china does not participate...

Understand that the closing of Keystone and stoppage of wall building not only sends the actual workers home, it also stops the people who provide support, materials made in factories, and transportation companies. Similar to a car manufacture closes down. Parts are made from many companies and transported to the plant. So, it is not just plant workers losing jobs.
