I think that's the whole point. It's all about the trust and the paranoia. Everyone could be a werewolf.

For example, in the last one, there was a fairly stable alliance of humans formed. Except by the end of it, they trusted me as an outsider more than they trusted each other.

The only people that can be certain as to what someone is are the seers and like Cassandra from greek mythology, they are rarely believed until it's too late.

Yeah. But no human is going to knowingly lynch another human. We know for definite Jim is human courtesy of the two cases where he was protected from attack.

That cuts both ways though. If you're a wolf, knowing he's human makes him a tasty target.

Both of you are or could be correct...this is only a small part of the gameplay to be considered by the participants but a large part of what makes the game enjoyable.
