Default Any ideas

I need pointing in the right direction if anyone can help, I have reinstalled SH3 again and did a career of 13 cruises before the game cheated and sunk me :-) the game also sometimes crashed when I used the fast time laps especially if I had 4 or 5 cruise listed, anyway when I start again the game loads up and before I can start or soon after I start, the game stops with a warning something like SH3 has a problem, windows will close it!! And at the moment it will not play single missions

Does anybody know what causes it? or if it can be cured, regards Robert

I hope someone else can comment, i remember this happening to me and i do not know how i solved it. Is there maybe a possibility to extract saved games and reinstall the sim?

Whatever, this should be placed in the SH3 community forum, where it will maybe get more attention

Sounds like a corrupted save game file.

No other problems with your computer, software?

I'd rename the SH3 folders, including the one in MyDocuments.

Then reinstall and see if the load happens.

If you don't have saves from before, make sure you are looking in that MyDocuments folder both in and out of your new install. Save a game first, of course.

If the new install works fine, copy the new folder into the old folder and from that folder, try to load. If it fails, you have one or more corrupt game files.

Hi again, no PC probs and memory is good, I did find SH3 also installed on my C:\drive so I zapped it and continued with the install on my external hdd, which loaded ok and ran, so I thought that it was prob solved, but it wasn't because after one game save and a restart the SH3 started to load but just before the start a message came on the Black screen saying "Not so long ago" then the message that SH3 has stopped working, so I am wondering if I should also uninstall this game and format the hdd then do a re install
