Ubi's programmers were a mess and I have developed the behavior of an aircraft carrier when in fact wanted to make a submarine.

Wow, at last I can contribute

Ok, so after torturing a type II in the worst storm I could have the game generate without ruining other "features" I found some settings with S3d that make the little boat pretty close to the dugout canoe that their crews described.

First I set the wave parameters in sim CFG to .5. Both of them. My thinking is if these are indeed the values for the wave amplitude, then they would be equal. The result? Some pretty brutal waves when the scenerio is in a storm.

Next I changed the type II s3d cg height to 3.0 (just .9 below the boat's draught), and the CG Fr_ratio to .3.

The results I am so far happy with. It really does heel over when the boat is but perpendicular to the wind, and when put into a hard turn.

It pitches in the waves far better than stock.

If any of you can find improvments of these figures please post.

Hopefully the change for the other boats will be about the same.
