Default Watched the Outlaw Josey Wales last night

This movie is part of my DVD collection and is probably one of my all time favorites. Not only is it a classic good v. evil western it also has some of the greatest one liners in all movies.

My name is Anderson, they call me bloody Bill".

"Don't piss down my back and tell me its raining".

"We have in this territory something called a Missouri boat ride".

"Endevour to persevere ".

"You going to pull them pistols or whistle dixie"?

Fantastic movie! Anyone who hasn't seen it, I highly recommend a trip to your local video store for a rental.

My favorite Eastwood movie. It was taken from a book called Gone To Texas, by Forrest Carter. The only differences are the book doesn't have any of the 'Redlegs' stuff; his family isn't in the beginning, after the war is over Josie starts robbing banks, which is how the kid gets shot, and so there's no confrontation at the end. Other than that, many of the the scenes in the movie are literally word-for-word from the book, including the ones you mentioned, and:

"I wanna see that hand move slow as 'lasses."

"The only one who can sneak up on an indian is another indian."

Even the 'border shift' scene is right out of the book.

No doubt one of the best Eastwood's westerns Love that film, though I struggle to decide if I prefer the "Pale Rider" over it as western. Admitingly, the Pale Rider is not 100% what you would call a western, but the context is.:hmm:

I'm a John Wayne fan, so frankly I'm not a big fan of the anti-hero.

But Clint Eastwood as a director is absolutely brilliant.

His movies have so much emotion, I think he is easily the most talented American director today.

My favorite line in my favorite western. Unforgiven and Pale Rider are great movies, too, and Clint has become one of the industry's best directors. Pretty awesome career for ol' Dirty Harry, eh?
